Elementary School offices will open Monday, August 10th to prepare for the start of the 2015-16 school year. Office hours will be approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, contact your school after August 5th for exact office hours, as individual office hours will vary by elementary school.

Please note the first day of the 2015-16 school year will take place on Monday, August 24th, and will operate on the early dismissal schedule:
  • ​​AM Kindergarten - 8:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • PM Kindergarten - 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
  • Grade Levels First through Sixth:  8:40 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Office will open August 5th
Monday - Friday
8 am - 4 pm 
Have a safe and fun summer break!   The 2015-2016 school year will begin on Monday, August 24th.

Welcome to Koelsch
Elementary School

From the staff and students of Koelsch Elementary School, we welcome you! We are proud to say that Koelsch Elementary has been part of the Boise School District for nearly 60 years. Our school has consistently provided outstanding educational opportunities for children throughout our community. Koelsch Elementary is a great place for all students to learn and grow both academically and emotionally.

Koelsch Elementary serves a wide diversity of students from all over the world. Our enrollment is approximately 470 students. Currently, we have over 110 English Language Learners (ELL) speaking 23 different languages.

Community support is essential in helping to provide the best opportunities for students to achieve and maximize their learning. Koelsch School has an active PTO and Volunteer Program providing great support to staff and students. Please contact our administrative assistant Crystal Prindle for more information at 854-5300. Please feel free to visit and volunteer.  We hope you enjoy our school. Our educational program is dependent on positive staff and parent relations.
